I often talk about qualifications of elected officials and public service. In this interview with Daryl Deshotel, Louisiana State Representative, you will see both. He is a young guy that is retired with a lot of knowledge in the technology industry and could easily use his time to make more money, spend more time with his family, or use his youth to create a new business. Instead he is practically giving his time and experience in the technology industry to the people of Louisiana in a full time capacity with part time pay. I say this a lot, because I think most people in Baton Rouge are in it for the right reason because of the demands on their time for little pay. And Representative Deshotel is using his time and knowledge in the technology sector to help Louisiana with some legislation on Broadband for rural areas and cyber security for everyone in Louisiana.
